Healthy Horse and Land Field Trip
April 2 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm
Come and listen to Kirsten Kuns and Anthea Simmons discuss how they have used pasture management principles such as planned grazing to improve their animals’ health, increase pasture resilience and diversity and protect soil health.
There will be an opportunity to explore both properties and Anthea and Kirsten will discuss the highlights and the challenges of their journey to improve the health of their properties. Both have practical experience in converting run-down pastures with minimal inputs. The aim of the day is to demonstrate first-hand how you can increase the health of your property and your horses, build drought resilience, increase pasture diversity, decrease the need to add expensive fertilizers and manage weeds and pests.
NRM South staff will also be available to chat to about other issues relating to managing your property.
BYO lunch, drinks and a chair. Tea and coffee will be provided. Cost is $30, payable on the day.
Please RSVP by Sunday the 26 March to Holly Hansen on firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone on 0428 259 156.
