Women in Agriculture morning tea (free event)

For women who are interested in learning more about Women in Agriculture, who want to join or form a local group, or who just want to come along and meet other women passionate about farming and the land.

How much pasture? How many animals?

NRM South are supporting a workshop to be delivered by Jason Lynch (Macquarie Franklin) which will look at challenges and opportunities facing graziers from seasonal rainfall variation, irrigation development, strong livestock markets and sustainably managing the pasture feedbase. What are the best methods to manage these circumstances? This workshop will provide an opportunity to discuss pasture production potential in the southern midlands and how to utilise it as effectively as possible in a variable climate.

Sheep vaccination and drenching workshop

This workshop is aimed at hobby farmers who might have a few lawn mowers and want to learn more about sheep husbandry.

Date: Tuesday 20th December

Time: 10:00am – 1:00pm

Location: Clifton Farm, 121 Wilmot Rd, Huonville

Cost: $20, includes lunch
