The NRM South Board are seeking 2 new members with specific skills and experience in:
- Primary industries (e.g. agriculture, aquaculture, wild fisheries, forestry, mining), and/or
- Planning, Policy and Local Government.
Alongside general skills and experience in:
- Business development,
- Governance and finance, and
- Contemporary natural resource management.
Applicants should have a broad understanding of natural resource management in Tasmania. Board membership must also provide a balance of geographical areas and regional NRM interests and, to the extent practicable without compromising representativeness and effectiveness, equal numbers of males and females. In general, the Board should consist of members with a combined skill set to provide good governance to the organisation including delivery of the NRM South strategic plan.
