NRM South is seeking Expressions of Interest for two independent member positions on the “Priority actions for eastern quolls on north Bruny Island” project Steering Committee.
This project aims to improve the trajectory of EPBC-listed eastern quolls, by reducing mortality due to predation by cats. This will be achieved through removal of all feral and stray cats from north Bruny Island, and ensuring compliance with the Bruny Island Cat By-Law by Island. The three-year project is funded until June 2023 by the Australian Government under the Regional Land Partnerships.
People with relevant knowledge or experience in one or more of the following are sought:
- Threatened species conservation
- Project management experience in a similar field
- Stakeholder engagement, community liaison and education
- Project governance
Please note that the position on the Steering Committee is a volunteer role.
