Celebrating volunteer week with all you wonderful environmental volunteers!

May 13, 2015 @ 11:00 am - 2:00 pm

We are delighted to invite all environmental volunteers to a free BBQ with presentations by exuberant guest speakers – can’t get much cheerier than that!

More than 6 million Australian volunteers give happiness to others each year. And research says that that those volunteers are happier as a result. So this National Volunteer Week (11-17 May 2015), help us make Australia the happiest place on earth, by giving as much of your time as you can. Give Happy. Live Happy.

Established in 1989, National Volunteer Week is the largest celebration of volunteers and volunteerism in Australia, and provides an opportunity to highlight the role of volunteers in our community and to say thank you to the more than 6 million Australians who volunteer.

This event is blissfully brought to you by the Volunteer Training Consortium – comprising NRM South, Landcare Tasmania, Southern Coastcare Association of Tasmania, Parks and Wildlife Service, Clarence City Council, Hobart City Council, Kingborough Council, Huon Valley Council, Tasman Council, Glenorchy City Council and Sorell Council

For further information please contact Ruth Osborne at NRM South on 6221 6161 or rosborne@www.nrmsouth.org.au

p.s. there will be plenty of salads and vegetarian options available at the bbq, but please let me know if you have any serious allergies I should be aware of, thanks!
