NRM South is seeking a contractor to collect spatial site information in and around Pitt Water-Orielton Lagoon to inform site management.
NRM South is working on a riparian restoration project in and around Frogmore Creek, Orielton Rivulet, Sorell Rivulet, and Orielton Lagoon. Focusing on public and private land, the project is addressing threats such as weeds, altered sediment transport, agricultural activities, stormwater pollution, urban development and climate change, in order to enhance riparian and wetland habitats, reconnect critical habitat corridors, and reduce nutrient and sediment runoff.
The scope of work is to collect spatial data and aerial imagery for the designated project areas to support project planning, site management, and establish a baseline for monitoring environmental changes over time, and to support restoration efforts. The collected data will serve as a baseline for monitoring environmental changes over time.
