Are you a smallholder in Tasmania’s south-east? Applications are now open for NRM South’s 2027 Property Management Planning (PMP) Program — a practical, hands-on workshop series designed to help small property owners plan for a sustainable future. The 2027 program is tailored for small properties (typically 5–100 hectares) and is open to landholders across Brighton, Clarence, Sorell and Tasman.
Running between late January and early May 2027, this six-part weekend workshop series (events held on Saturdays) will guide participants through the process of developing a customised Property Management Plan — a roadmap for managing your land’s natural assets, improving productivity, and protecting environmental values.
Each workshop combines expert advice with on-ground learning, covering topics such as soil health, grazing and pasture management, water and weed management, revegetation, and native vegetation care. Participants will also receive personalised property maps, fact sheets and resources, and have the chance to connect with other landholders and technical experts.
